1%er MC's aRE fiercely territorial in nature and serious disputes, between rival clubs, have arisen over the right to wear a territorial reference on the bottom rocker of a club's patch. Similarly, within the biker world, these are the people who will stop anyone who foolishly thinks that once they buy a powerful bike, they can just stencil the name of an established club on the back of their jacket and ride about, without encountering big trouble! Many of the well known 1%er MC's have EITHER FORMED ALLIANCES OR ARE AT WAR

 

Law enforcement 'experts' on 1%er bikers in the USA often referred to the "Big Four" of the 1%er scene, who have Chapters across the States and internationally. However, it would appear that there are now a Big 8 of MC's,

Apart from the globally known clubs, there are numerous smaller MC's, all with their own individualised Colors. Many of the smaller clubs have Chapters elsewhere and sometimes they have alliances with other smaller MC's or with the larger Big 8 clubs. Many of the larger MC's have mushroomed globally, from originally being a purely American phenomena during the early 1950's. There are now well established chapters of the best known clubs WORLD WIDE.
